Kimia Hotel

Date: 2017

Location: Taleghan, Karaj, Iran

Site Area: 950 m2

Built Area: 4000 m2

Client: Hossein Ghoroghi, Amin Ghoroghi

This hotel was under construction and the walls were built with a few sheets of the map, without regard to the principles of architecture, rules and regulations.
By referring client to Chakad office and talk about the project, we decided to design the hotel again. After field visiting the project, we had no choice except destroy the clay walls. The building had various limitations, such as inappropriate column layout, low height of ground floor, incorrect placement of two elevators with improper distance from each other, lack of escape stairs, scattered excrescence in building facades, lack of service lift, service spaces, etc.
Our strategy was coherent the building and investigation of uses, location and their association with the existing restrictions and prediction of requirements for residential and tourism buildings were done with this viewpoint.
In the building body, we tried to integrate and coordinate the building schema. According to special project place to Taleghan Dam Lake and its unique perspective, we decided to provide the view of the lake for most spaces. Terraces dedicated to rooms, and a wall was built between them to control confidentiality, and thus, the overall structure of the building was formed.
The entrance that is in the middle of the building became more prominent by heightening the ceiling. The yard was expanded and depth of its vision was increased, so a live and efficient lobby was made.
